Isn’t this month just flying by! I feel like it was the first just yesterday and now we are staring Christmas in the face. Good news is that I finished my Christmas shopping yesterday. I used to be such an organized person – I was the one who had their Christmas shopping done months in advance. I’m not sure what happened to that person, but she seems to have left the building!
Still haven’t started my Christmas baking, except of course my Christmas Cake, but that’s what next week is for.
Anyway, this week I finished off some Christmas projects. I shared my Christmas Napkin Rings with you on Thursday.
If you didn’t see that post, it’s worth a look. You won’t believe what I used to make these.
I have another couple of projects around the same theme to share with you next week.
I’ve also been busy making some jewelry, most of which I can’t share with you as because they are presents for my friends and family – sshhh!
What I did share with you this week was this Black Tears Pendant Necklace.
I had a wardrobe consultant comment on this tutorial telling me that these teardrop beads are perfect for most body shapes. She said, “they flatter so many women's features. (It's a curves and angles thing!)”
So, if you would like a pendant that flatters your body shape, be sure to check out the tutorial.
So much busyness around the web this week with Christmas almost upon us. I’ve found some really great stuff for you.
If you need to do some last-minute decorating you could check out Shelley from Calypso in the Country’s kitchen decorating ideas. I love this as she’s used red and blue rather than the traditional red and green, and it’s very understated – much more my jam than some of the over decorated spaces I’ve seen!
I loved this idea from Kim of Interior Redoux – she uses her Christmas gifts as Christmas décor – dual purpose! You’ve gotta love that!
Have you thought about your Christmas table yet? How about this wonderful centerpiece created by Paulina of Virginia Sweet Pea? Isn’t it just darling?
And while we are on the subject of tables and centre pieces, you just have to see Karin’s Buffalo check table setting.
What about whipping up one of these super cute wooden Christmas trees as a last minute decorating addition. I love that it’s made from scraps.
Last, but certainly not least, Amber of the Makers Map made this wonderful sign using a gift bag from Dollar Tree finds.
So, that’s all from me this week.
Just so you know, I’ve decided to take break from jewellery tutorials for a few weeks over Christmas, just need a break and to enjoy some sunshine and relaxation – mmm thinking barbeques in the backyard and long lazy days under the umbrella.
I’ve still got a few posts to share before Christmas so I’ll see you next week. Thanks for joining me this week.
