I can’t believe it’s Saturday again. Of course, for my friends who live in the USA it’s Thanksgiving Weekend so…
Happy Thanksgiving.
In New Zealand we don’t specifically celebrate thanksgiving, but we have other traditions.
Yesterday I paid tribute to a dear old lady, my friend Tim’s Aunty Doreen who very kindly shared her Christmas Cake Recipe a few years ago. She passed away so I wanted to honour her by sharing her Fruit Cake Recipe with you all.
This week I also shared a Christmas Charm tutorial. These cute little charms would be amazing on a charm bracelet, a pair of earrings or even a necklace. Or, you could make them, attach them to a wine glass charm and give them to friends for Christmas.
There’s been a lot going on this week.
Sharon from Now Choose Life got me thinking about seasonal decorating in your bedroom with this post.
So, I wanted to ask:
Do you change your decorating based on the seasons?
I change my throw pillows and the bedding, but I don’t do a huge redecoration. Ithink though, that we don’t have enough seasonal change here to make it feel like we need to. Certainly, when we lived in Canada I felt much more inclined to change everything when the weather changed from sun to snow.
If you're stuck for what to buy for presents, Danielle from Faith and Farmhouse shared a really good list of suggested gifts for a teenage girl.
While I don’t have any teenage girls in my life right now, there were some great ideas for other members of the family too.
I loved this Dried Orange Slice Wreath that Donna from Modern on Monticella shared this week. Imagine the smell of drying oranges wafting through your house!
Have you started your Christmas shopping yet or are you one of those super organized people who has already finished? I used to be one of those!

Have a wonderful weekend.
