Happy weekend my friend! Red in the morning, shepherd’s warning!
I woke up this morning to this beautiful sky so I couldn’t help but share it with you. It probably means that my hellebores won’t get transplanted to their new home today but that’s OK.
Have you ever had one of those weeks when you have a huge todo list and by the end of the week you’ve done lots of other stuff but nothing on your list? That was my week this week. So, I’m heading into a new week with a longer to do list but a new determination to getting it all done.
Happy Mother’s Day to all the Mums out there. I hope you have a fantastic day and that you are spoiled rotten by your whanau (family).
This week on the blog I shared last post in my front porch makeover series as well as a jewelry video tutorial.
This post was very appropriate for Mother’s Day. I took one of my Mum’s vintage necklaces and restrung it with Tiger Tail so that it was nice and secure, and I can now wear it, knowing that it’s not going to break. I’m so pleased I did this. If you have a necklace that you are scared to wear because it’s just too fragile, you might like to watch this video and restring it too.
This was the last step in my front porch makeover. In this post I showed you how I frosted my front door, including how I created the lattice pattern. This was such a fun project and I love the results. It was actually much easier than it looks.

I just love this cabinet – I’ve been looking for inspiration – I have a dark wood sideboard in my entry way and I’m thinking about painting it. This one with the gold accents is stunning.
Have you ever heard of blueberry lemonade? I hadn’t until I read this post. It looks fabulous. If you’re heading into summer, or just enjoy a cool drink in the winter, this could be a good recipe to check out.
