What a weird week it’s been! We have winter like weather with highs of only 14 degrees celsius. I’m not sure what happened to the wonderful summer weather I was spouting about last week!
So, with the disappearance of the good weather, I retreated inside to work on some projects.
This week it was all about jewellery but I’ve also been planning a few home DIY type projects so stay tuned for those coming up.
I shared two jewellery posts.
The first was showing off some videos I added to my YouTube channel over the Christmas break. There are four videos, all discussing different jewelry making techniques.
In the process, I made these wonderful earrings.
If you didn’t see that post, you can check it out here.
I made the orange and blue necklace shown at the beginning of this post for a commission piece and the colours inspired me to try some new things – I’m not usually an orange kinda gal!
With the orange beads in mind, I made a pair of earrings using a 6cm piece of chain and some of these orange beads. These long orange chain earrings are a true statement piece. They take a bit longer to make but it’s well worth the effort.
Obviously, you could make them in any other colour.
To be honest, I haven’t spent much time browsing the web this week. I’ve just been too busy.
What I did find however, was this great post by Heather of Artsy Karma on how to make these cool resin pendants.
Do you decorate for Valentine’s Day?
I never have before but this year I’m thinking that we all need some cheer in our lives so, why not!
Also, the hook from my Christmas wreath is still stuck to my front door so why not make use of it.
To that end, I found this cool Valentine’s wreath from Blooming Homestead which I’m thinking of making.
Or maybe this one by Country Peony!
This reminds me of all those pom poms I made for the Pom Pom Cushion a few months ago.
So, let me know what you think in the comments below?
Are you making Valentine’s Day décor or crafts?
